Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a distillery plant in Gorakhpur. He told that this plant spread over 30 acres will make ethanol from grains, which will prove beneficial for the country and the farmers. The Chief Minister said that this plant is not just a liquor factory, but an ethanol production unit. This will encourage the use of ethanol in place of petrol and diesel, which will also be able to run vehicles and airplanes. The CM told that India buys petrol and diesel worth Rs 7-8 lakh crore every year. If ethanol is made from the grain of farmers, then foreign currency will be saved and the income of farmers will increase. This will strengthen the country and the youth will get employment.
Local people will get employment, farmers will benefit
According to the news agency, the Chief Minister said that three and a half lakh liters of ethanol will be made here daily, which will further reach five lakh liters. Rectified spirit will also be prepared in this plant, which will be used in modern medicines. CM Yogi said that in the last eight years, the double engine government has worked in the interest of farmers. Earlier, rotten grains and sugarcane used to go waste, but now ethanol is being produced from it. 177 crore liters of ethanol is being produced in Uttar Pradesh, which is being mixed with petrol and diesel.
Opportunity for double income, profit will also be made from spoiled grains and stubble
The Chief Minister told the farmers to bring broken rice, spoiled wheat, stubble and sugarcane to this plant. This distillery will buy them. This will not only give the farmers the price of the grains, but will also earn from stubble and waste material. This plant, built at a cost of Rs 1200 crore, will provide direct employment to two thousand people and indirect employment to the same number of people.
The picture of Gorakhpur changed in eight years
CM Yogi said that eight years ago no one wanted to invest in GIDA of Gorakhpur. But in the last eight years, more than 15 thousand crores of investment has come here and 50 thousand youth have got jobs. Arrangements for diploma course and training have also been started in GIDA. New projects like plastic park, garment park and flatted factory are also coming. He said that now people believe that it is safe to invest in UP and Gorakhpur. Entrepreneurs are willing to invest in GIDA.
Along with enterprise, protecting the environment is also our responsibility. The Chief Minister said that technology has improved so much that now we have to protect the environment along with investment. Emphasizing on the use of green energy, he talked about adopting zero liquid discharge and solar energy. He especially emphasized that it is our responsibility to take care of the health of Mother Earth. He gave an example that just like arteries in the body work as blood vessels, similarly rivers on earth are its blood vessels. Therefore, we have to maintain the cleanliness of rivers and their uninterrupted flow.
