Bhopal: The decision taken by former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his tenure has been changed by the Mohan Yadav government. Shivraj Singh Chouhan had closed the CPA which Mohan Yadav will start again. In fact, while being the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan had decided to close the Rajdhani Project Administration, created for the responsibilities of all the development works including the roads and parks of the capital Bhopal, in August 2021.
This decision was taken during Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s tenure due to the problem of dilapidated roads. It was closed even before the assembly elections. The CPA was dissolved on April 2022 and the responsibility of the roads, buildings and parks of the capital Bhopal went to the PWD and Forest Department.
But Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has once again decided to start this closed scheme. For this, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has requested Union Housing and Urban Affairs and Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to revive this institution and provide technical assistance. Mohan Yadav had met Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in which this help was sought.
Mohan Yadav said that the Capital Project Administration in Bhopal city has been an organization engaged in the construction, development and maintenance of roads, parks and buildings, besides the protection and development of Nazul land. In such a situation, he urged the Union Minister to revive this institution so that in future CPA can again contribute to the development activities of Bhopal city. The Union Minister assured all possible assistance to the state government in this regard.
