Ujjain: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has given a big gift to the farmers of Ujjain district by inaugurating the Narmada-Kshipra multipurpose micro lift irrigation project in Tarana. This scheme will solve the problem of irrigation in this area. CM Mohan has inaugurated the Narmada-Kshipra multipurpose micro lift irrigation project costing Rs 2,489 crore 65 lakh in Tarana, with this project, 30 thousand 218 hectares of land of a total of 100 villages in the area will now easily get water for irrigation, in such a situation, this project is considered very important for Ujjain district. Which was also being demanded by the farmers here for a long time.
The two tehsils of Ujjain, Tarana and Ghattia, are going to benefit the most from this project. A total of 27,490 hectares of land of 83 villages of both tehsils and 2728 hectares of land of 17 villages of Shajapur tehsil of Shajapur district will be irrigated. The project will provide 129.60 MLD water for industry and drinking water to Ujjain district, 129.60 MLD water for industry and drinking water to Nagda town and 21.60 MLD water to Tarana, Ghattia and Guradia Gurjar.
Apart from this, Shajapur district will also benefit from this project; 43.20 MLD water for drinking water will start coming to the village group of Shajapur district and Shajapur town and 43.20 MLD water for drinking water and industry will start coming to Maksi. In the project, 15 cubic meter water will be supplied from Omkareshwar reservoir (village Badel district Khandwa) through underground pipeline. Water will be sent to a height of 435 meters at the rate of 1000 ohms per second through a total of 6 pumping stations and 50 pump motors.
CM Mohan Yadav said, ‘Today, I participated in the program organized in Ujjain, Tarana and inaugurated the ‘Narmada-Kshipra Multipurpose Micro Lift Irrigation Project’ costing 2489.65 crores and inaugurated other development works and performed Bhoomi Pujan, observed the exhibition organized by the sisters in the program and inquired about their products from the sisters and prayed for the welfare of the world by worshipping the girls who are like goddesses. This project will definitely pave the way for the prosperity of the farmers of the state, we are committed to provide ample water to the fields of the farmers who provide food and pure water to every home.
