New Delhi. ED has taken major action against online gaming app. ED has frozen an amount of about Rs 25 crore. ED has taken this action against FIEWIN gaming app. Apart from this, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also frozen the crypto accounts of Chinese citizens in the online gaming app FIEWIN.
It is alleged that this gaming app is involved in anti-India activities. Investigation has revealed that Rs 400 crore was sent from India to China through this gaming app. Currently, ED is also trying to trace a trail of money laundering.
A conspiracy was being hatched to weaken India’s economy
For the first time, ED has frozen the crypto accounts of Chinese citizens of online gaming app FIEWIN. ED has seized 3 crypto accounts of three Chinese citizens. Crypto accounts worth about Rs 25 crore have been frozen by ED. ED has told in its investigation that 400 crore has reached China from India through this gaming app.
ED has also arrested four Indian citizens in this case. ED investigation has revealed that through this gaming app, Chinese citizens have made a big dent in India and earned about 400 crores. China had hatched a big conspiracy to weaken India’s economy through gaming app.
ED had conducted raids
It is worth noting that ED had recently raided many places in the country against this gaming app. During this, ED had also arrested many Indian citizens. The arrested accused told during interrogation that 400 crore rupees of India have been sent to China through this gaming app. ED had also arrested four accused for online betting and gaming fraud through this app.
In this case, a case was earlier registered on 16 May 2023 at Kosipore Police Station in Kolkata under sections 420, 406 and 120B of IPC in the case of fraud and conspiracy through online gaming app “FIEWIN”.
