China built the world’s fastest train, know the speed

Beijing. China on Sunday introduced an updated model of its high-speed bullet train. Its makers claim that its speed reached 450 kilometers per hour during testing, making it the world’s fastest high-speed train. According to China State Railway Group Company (China Railway), the new model, known as the CR450 prototype, will further reduce travel time and improve connectivity, making travel more convenient and efficient for a large number of passengers in the country.

A report by the state-run Xinhua said the CR450 prototype achieved a testing speed of 450 kilometers per hour with operational speed, energy consumption, internal noise and braking distance. This is much faster than the CR400 Fuxing high-speed rail (HSR) currently in service, which runs at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

China Railway will arrange a series of line tests for the prototype and optimize technical indicators to ensure that the CR450 enters commercial service as soon as possible.

HSR track reaches 47 thousand kilometers
According to the latest official data, China’s operational HSR tracks have reached nearly 47,000 kilometers, connecting the country’s major cities. However, it is not profitable. China says the HSR network expansion has played an important role in the country’s economic and social development, reducing travel time and promoting industrial development along railway routes.

According to internal surveys, the Beijing-Shanghai train service was the most profitable, while networks in other cities have not yet become attractive. In recent years, China’s HSR exported its network to Thailand and Indonesia and built the Belgrade-Novi Sad HSR in Serbia.
