BSP command will remain in Mayawati’s hands, re-elected president in party meeting

Lucknow: Party officials from across the country gathered at the Bahujan Samaj Party’s Lucknow office today, the occasion was the election of the party’s national president. BSP’s national executive meeting was called today to elect the president, after the meeting which started around 12 noon on Tuesday, Mayawati has been re-elected as the party’s national president. She has been the party president since 2003, but this time this responsibility has come upon Mayawati at a time when the party is going through its worst phase.

Party general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra had proposed Mayawati’s name, which was agreed upon by all the party leaders and taken forward.
