Breach in former President Barack Obama’s security, armed man approaches his car

  • September 26, 2024

Washington. When Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was recently attacked, questions were raised on America’s Secret Service. Now once again the federal agency is under the scanner. It is being said that this time there has been negligence in the security of former President Barack Obama. Actually, a report claimed that the Democrat leader was allegedly approached by an ‘armed’ man in Los Angeles. However, the agency clarified that these claims are false and there is no fear about the former president’s safety.

Obama was sitting in his car

According to the report, Obama was sitting in his SUV outside his favorite restaurant Mother Wolf in Los Angeles, when a person approached his car. At that time the former President was working on his laptop. On this, the Secret Service clarified that these claims were false.

This is the clarification of the Secret Service

A representative of the Secret Service said, ‘The Secret Service cannot give detailed information about our security means and methods, but we can confirm that no Secret Service protected person was present in the vehicle when the person was going down the street. These claims are false. The controversial photo is of the time of leaving from there, not during the alleged incident.’

    What did the eyewitnesses say?

However, media reports have quoted eyewitnesses to the contrary. Eyewitnesses say, an armed security guard was a few inches away from Obama. He saw that the former President was using a laptop while sitting in the backseat of his SUV. Then the guard panicked because he realized that he had a weapon and the person sitting inside the car was under the protection of the Secret Service. After this he immediately moved away from the car.

What is in the initial report on the allegation of Secret Service security lapse?

An armed security guard claims that he came within a few feet of former President Barack Obama on Saturday, which he described as a security lapse by the Secret Service. The security guard, who did not want to be identified, said the former president’s car was parked outside the Mother Wolf restaurant on a Hollywood street at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. He went down after someone told him federal agents were stationed outside. He saw two Secret Service agents on the street. On the other side, he saw a black SUV with Department of Homeland Security plates.

The media outlet also shared a photo in which Barack Obama is seen sitting in the SUV. The security guard claimed that he did not know that Barack Obama was in the car. He came to know when he came closer. He panicked as soon as he saw Obama and realized that if the Secret Service saw his gun, he could be shot. He claimed that he quickly retreated and left the place after saying hello to the Secret Service agents.

The security guard claimed, ‘The agents were also shocked to see me there. About half an hour later, the agents contacted my boss and asked to hand over the gun and identity card.’

During this, a bullet had passed through Trump’s ear, while one person died in the rally and three others were injured in this firing. However, the Secret Service took immediate action on the spot and killed the attacker.
