BJP will explore the possibilities of forming government in Jammu and Kashmir, work is being done on this strategy

New Delhi: C Voter’s exit poll has predicted a hung assembly in Jammu and Kashmir. Although the National Conference and Congress alliance is predicted to be ahead, no single political party is likely to get majority on its own. C Voter’s exit poll has predicted BJP to get 27 to 32 seats and in such a situation, BJP has started exploring the possibilities of forming the government in case it emerges as the largest party.

According to sources, BJP is in touch with many independents and leaders of small parties. BJP had also supported them behind the scenes. The party had decided not to contest all the seats in the valley this time under this strategy. Where in 2014 BJP had fielded 75 candidates, this time the party contested only on 62 seats. According to BJP leaders, if the party emerges as the largest party, then without any delay, a claim to form the government will be presented on the basis of the MLAs who won from independent and smaller parties.

Hope of clean sweep in Jammu
BJP hopes that it will sweep the Jammu region like last time. In the last election, BJP had won 25 seats. This time its own assessment is that its number can increase to 28-35. However, some leaders believe that if there was no error in ticket distribution, then this number could have increased even more. Due to improper distribution of tickets, BJP had to face rebellion on some seats in Jammu region and in such a situation it may also suffer losses on those seats.

Five nominated MLAs are also part of the strategy
BJP is also eyeing some rebels of Congress. The party is in touch with those rebel candidates who have the possibility of winning. However, BJP has received information that Congress is also in touch with its rebels. Five nominated MLAs are an important part of BJP’s strategy. According to the new law, five members will be nominated by the Lieutenant Governor in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.

Like the elected members, they will also have all the rights including voting. After the nomination, the number of members in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly will increase to 95 and the majority figure will be 48. In such a situation, BJP will try to increase its numbers through nomination.

BJP will form the government – Chug
BJP General Secretary and Organization In-charge of Jammu and Kashmir Tarun Chug believes that in all the exit polls, BJP has been given the largest number of seats in Jammu and Kashmir, but the election results for BJP are going to be even better than the exit polls. According to Tarun Chug, BJP will form the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
