Bhopal. BJP leader Usha Thakur has expressed her displeasure over the statement made by Iltija Mufti, daughter of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti, on Hindutva. She has said that every Sanatani household should have a big stick, two swords and a gun. Along with this, she has also said that Hindus should protect their family and neighbourhood. In fact, on Sunday, Iltija Mufti had said that ‘Hindutva’ is a disease which is defaming Hinduism and promoting “lynching and persecution” of minorities, especially Muslims. She also said that BJP is using it to strengthen its vote bank.
According to a report, Usha Thakur has expressed her displeasure over this statement and said that Iltija’s heart and mind are sick. The statement given on Shri Ram is treason. Usha Thakur said, if the gods and goddesses are armed, then the Sanatani society should also be armed. Every house should have a big stick, two swords, a gun. We all should be prepared so that I can keep the neighborhood safe myself. If you are not alert even after the situations you are seeing, then who is more careless than you.
Let us tell you, earlier the BJP had strongly objected to the statement of Iltija Mufti and demanded an apology for the ‘abusive words’. Iltija posted a video of the incident on ‘X’ in which a Muslim man is allegedly being beaten up. She wrote on the social media platform, “Seeing all this, even Lord Ram will bow his head in helplessness and shame that minor Muslim boys are being beaten with slippers just because they refused to take the name of ‘Ram’. Hindutva is a disease which has affected millions of Indians and tarnished the name of God.” Later, while talking to reporters on the sidelines of an event in Jammu, Iltija defended her remarks and accused the BJP of creating such a situation in the country.
