  • September 27, 2024

New Delhi: Indo-Ruhr Joint Venture BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited BrahMos has become the first company to reserve jobs for Agniveers. BrahMos Aerospace has announced 15 percent reservation in technical entries and 50 percent reservation in vacancies in administrative and security roles.

BrahMos Aerospace has become the first Indian company to announce job reservation exclusively for newly recruited Agniveers under the Agneepath scheme of the Indian Armed Forces. This announcement has been made through the official website of the company.

This much reservation will be available in BrahMos
Under this initiative, BrahMos Aerospace will recruit Agniveers for at least 15% of technical and general administration vacancies in its different work centers. Apart from this, the company will ensure that at least 50% of the vacancies for security and administrative work at outsourced work centers are filled by Agniveers. In addition, BrahMos Aerospace plans to recruit Agniveers for at least 15% of the vacancies through third-party contract staffing, depending on their experience and qualifications.

First unit to reserve jobs for Agniveers
In a major initiative, BrahMos Aerospace has become the first unit to reserve jobs for Agniveers under the Agneepath scheme. BrahMos management plans to integrate Agniveers with further employment opportunities. Apart from regular employment at BrahMos, Agniveers will also be integrated into outsourcing contracts, giving them an opportunity to rejoin civil careers.

Former Agniveers will benefit in the private sector
The Agneepath scheme, launched to recruit youth into the armed forces for four years, aims to modernize and enhance the capabilities of the Indian Army. By giving priority to Agniveers, BrahMos Aerospace strengthens its commitment to national security as well as empowers the next generation of defense professionals.

The company’s initiative can serve as a model for how the private sector can actively contribute to the welfare and integration of military personnel into civilian roles, ensuring that their skills and experience are recognized and valued in the workforce. As the Agneepath scheme continues to evolve, BrahMos Aerospace’s initiative is expected to make the way forward for Agniveers even easier. This will allow them to take advantage of their skills and help them transition to civilian life easily.

Provision of reservation in CAPFs too
Let us tell you that before BrahMos, all CAPFs have announced job reservation for Agniveers. 10% posts have been reserved for former Agniveers in BSF, CRPF, CISF and ITBP. They have also been given relaxation in physical test and age limit. Former Agniveers have also been given relaxation in UP PSC recruitments.
