Bhopal. A very shocking case has come to light from Bhopal, the capital of MP, which refreshed the memories of many years old Ajmer incident. Students and alumni studying in a college in Bhopal formed a gang and raped many girls one after the other. Many girls did not register the case due to fear of defamation, but when a girl got courage and registered a case in Baghsewania police station, other girls also got courage. So far 3 girls have come forward.
Girls’ friends were also raped
Not only this, by threatening to make the video viral, pressure was put on the girls to introduce their friends or known girls to the boys and make them friends and later those girls were also raped. All the accused youths belong to a particular religion while all the victim girls are Hindus. The first FIR in this regard was registered on 16 April at the Baghsewania police station.
Trapped in love by changing religious identity
The girl told the police that first a youth named Faraz Khan trapped her in a love trap by telling him a Hindu name and made relations with her. During this time, the game of blackmailing started by making videos and then it was revealed that his real name was Faraz. The accused also introduced the victim to two other youths who raped her in turns. After this, two other girl students of the same college also lodged an FIR alleging that a similar incident had happened with them, and the seriousness of the case was revealed.
Police Commissioner gave full information
The police have arrested two accused Faraz and Sahil, in whose phones pornographic videos of many girls have been found. Talking to ‘Aaj Tak’ about this, Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanchari Mishra said that so far 3 girls have registered a case. On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered under POCSO along with the sections of rape because one of these girls was a minor at the time of the incident. At the same time, the complaint also revealed the matter of having a relationship by hiding religious identity, so a case has also been registered under the Religious Freedom Act. Two accused have been arrested. The police is currently also finding out about other girls. In view of the sensitivity of the case, an SIT has been formed which is investigating all aspects.
