Before the results, there is a fight in MVA over CM, Patole said – CM will be from Congress, Raut said we will not agree

  • November 21, 2024

Mumbai: Voting for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra was completed on Wednesday. Counting of votes will take place on Saturday, but even before that, the mutual rhetoric among the leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi has intensified regarding the post of Chief Minister. State Congress President Nana Patole said that the CM in the new government will be from Congress, while alliance partner and Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut said on Patole’s statement that we will not agree.

    Patole’s statement and Raut’s reply
Nana Patole said, ‘Aghadi government will be formed in Maharashtra under the leadership of Congress. Maximum number of MLAs of Congress will be elected in the state. Aghadi government will be formed.’ Sanjay Raut rejected his statement and said, ‘We will not agree .. no one will agree .. we will sit and decide .. the Aghadi government will sit and decide later .. if Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Kharge have told Nana Patole that you will become CM, then he should announce ..

This is not the first time that such statements have been made between Patole and Sanjay Raut. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had given a strong reaction to the defeat of Congress in Haryana, after which before the meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi, the state unit president of Congress Nana Patole hit back at Raut. He said that I do not know on what basis Sanjay Raut wrote and said, but you cannot publicly accuse the alliance in this way. We have objection to Sanjay Raut’s statement.

    65 percent voting
Let us tell you that this time 65% voting took place in the Maharashtra elections held on Wednesday. While the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is claiming to retain power, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance is hoping to continue its good performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Election officials said these figures are provisional. The state recorded 61.74 per cent polling in the 2019 assembly elections. Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district recorded 69.63 per cent polling, while the financial capital Mumbai recorded an estimated 54 per cent polling. In the 2019 elections, Mumbai’s polling figure was 50.67 per cent.

Battle between Mahayuti and MVA in Maharashtra
There is a tough competition between Mahayuti (BJP, Shinde faction, Ajit faction) and Maha Vikas Aghadi (Uddhav faction, Sharad faction and Congress) in Maharashtra. In the Mahayuti alliance, BJP is contesting on 149 seats, Shiv Sena on 81 seats and Ajit Pawar’s NCP on 59 seats. In MVA, Congress has fielded candidates on 101 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) on 95 seats and Sharad Pawar-led NCP on 86 seats. 4,136 candidates were in the fray in Maharashtra.
