When a local Muslim businessman called ISKCON a terrorist organization on Facebook, local Hindus erupted in protest. Local people also came in support of the Muslim businessman. However, police sources say that when the police were taking the accused, the Hindus tried to snatch him from the police custody. During this scuffle, 12 policemen were injured. After the incident, the police and army suddenly arrived at night. After this, local Hindus were beaten indiscriminately and CCTV cameras were broken. Hindus have alleged that after this action of the police and army, many Bangladeshi Hindus have been injured and many have been picked up and taken away. According to the information, Hindu shops in the market are being looted on this occasion. There are many shops of gold crafts in the market, they have also been looted.
