A major train accident was averted near Saharanpur

Saharanpur. A major accident was averted on the railway track near Sarsawa in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday night. Someone removed the pendrol clips and kept them on the track. As soon as the information was received, there was a stir from Ambala to Delhi headquarters. Due to this, other trains including goods train had to be stopped for some time. The department is investigating whether it was a mischief or a conspiracy. RPF has registered a case and started investigation.

According to railway officials, during routine checking near pillar number-199 of Sarsawa railway station area, railway workers saw that three-four pendrol clips (keys) connecting the track were kept on the track. Seeing this, the railway workers were shocked. They immediately informed the higher officials about it. The officials first stopped the movement of trains on the track. After that, they reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Trains coming from behind were also stopped. Railway officials have taken the incident seriously and ordered an inquiry.

It was fortunate that the information was received on time
If railway sources are to be believed, it was fortunate that the information was received on time, otherwise a major accident could have happened. However, the officials acted swiftly and handled the situation on time. A few days ago also a similar mischief was done on the track.

Other trains including goods train were stopped
Railway immediately stopped other trains including goods train passing through this track. Due to this, other trains coming from behind were also stopped beforehand.

Train was derailed last month also
Last month also a goods train was derailed on platform number three of Saharanpur railway station. DRM and other officials reached the spot in the matter. A team was formed and an inquiry was set up. That investigation has also not come to light yet. Some such cases have come to light on Sarsawa track earlier also.

DRM Ambala Division Mandeep Singh said that information was received about some clips missing from the track near Shahjahanpur gate, a team was sent to the spot and the track was repaired. RPF has registered a case against unknown persons and started investigation. It is not clear yet whether it was a mischief or a conspiracy.
