New Delhi: Violence broke out in Murshidabad, West Bengal on Saturday in protest against the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2 people were killed in Murshidabad today. According to police sources, a violent mob killed a father and son in the Jafarabad area of Shamsherganj area. The incident took place this afternoon, when the mob attacked a village. Earlier, violence broke out in Murshidabad after Friday prayers on Friday (April 11).

Not only this, roadside shops and two-wheelers were damaged and arson was committed.
The frenzied mob targeted the railway gate and relay room near Dhuliyan station. There was heavy stone pelting. Vandalism was done. An attempt was made to set the house on fire. During this time, the railway staff somehow managed to escape from there saving their lives. Later, a large number of police and central forces personnel arrived here and brought the situation under control. Currently, central forces personnel and West Bengal police are deployed in these areas. There is tension in the area.
