Diljit Dosanjh Concert in Chandigarh: Neither alcohol songs will be played, nor children will go on stage, advisory issued

New Delhi: Diljit Dosanjh and his songs reside in the hearts of his fans, that is why despite the tickets costing lakhs, fans come from far and wide to listen to the singer. These days Diljit is doing his “Diluminati Tour” from city to city. But there are as many objections on this tour. Recently, objections were raised in Indore and Hyderabad on those of his songs which are related to alcohol. Now a new advisory has been issued for Diljit.

Ban on use of alcohol
This advisory has also been issued from Chandigarh, a city in his own Punjab. Diljit is going to perform in Chandigarh on 14 December. Even before this, Panditrao Dharenwar, President of Chandigarh Child Rights Protection Commission, Shipra Bansal, have filed a representation according to which he cannot sing any song promoting alcohol in this concert. It is written in the advisory that Diljit will not sing songs like ‘Patiala Peg’, ‘5 Taara Theke’ and ‘Case’ with twisted lyrics in the concert. CCPCR has clearly written in its advisory that “these songs affect children of sensitive age.”

Young children cannot be brought on stage
The chairman believes that songs in which alcohol is used affect small children. It is also clearly mentioned in the advisory that children should not be called on stage during live shows. Because the sound level there is more than 120 dB, which is harmful for children. In the advisory, CCPCR has also asked the organizers to ensure that alcohol is not served to youth below the age of 25, which is punishable under the JJ Act and other provisions of the law.
