Indore: Former Indore City Mayor Harbhajan Singh, a complainant in the famous honeytrap case in Indore, died two years ago. His body was found in a room in his ancestral house in Rewa. Death is suspected to be due to a heart attack. The honeytrap case was revealed only after Harbhajan Singh’s complaint. This case was in the news for a long time in MP. The honeytrap case in Indore was revealed only after Harbhajan Singh’s report. Harbhajan Singh had said in his complaint that some girls were blackmailing him in the name of video recording. Later, the police arrested some girls from Indore and Bhopal. One of these girls had registered a rape case against Harbhajan Singh. The police had registered a case on the basis of the girl’s complaint, after which the department suspended him.

Harbhajan was suspended and his head office was shifted to Rewa. For a few days after the suspension, Harbhajan Singh stayed at Greater Kailash Marg in Indore, after which he went to live at his ancestral home in Rewa. His wife and son also went to live in another city for some time.

The girls blackmailed Harbhajan Singh in the name of pornographic videos and demanded Rs 3 crore. According to the FIR lodged by Harbhajan Singh, a girl named Aarti from Bhopal made him friends with 18-year-old BSc student Monika. Then Aarti made a video of both of them on her mobile in a hotel in Indore, after which she blackmailed him for eight months. He had paid money three times in this.
