Mumbai: Before the Maharashtra elections, BJP’s veteran leader and national general secretary Vinod Tawde has been accused of distributing money in Nalasopara. In this regard, the Election Commission has now registered an FIR under the Representation of the People Act. Along with Tawde, an FIR has also been registered against BJP candidate Rajan Naik.
Vinod Tawde has clarified the allegations of distributing money. He says that this is a conspiracy against him and the Election Commission should investigate it impartially. Tawde said that I had gone to meet the workers. I have not done anything wrong. This is a conspiracy of the workers of Mahavikas Aghadi. The police and the Election Commission should investigate it.
Allegations of distributing money against Tawde

The workers of Bahujan Vikas Aghadi allege that Tawde had come to a hotel in Mumbai with five crore rupees to distribute it. Vinod Tawde said that this is a conspiracy to defame me and my party. CCTV footage should be taken out and investigated.
Tawde clarified the allegations
Tawde said that I had gone there for booth management work. I had come to the meeting to tell my workers how EVM machines are sealed after voting. Meanwhile, our opposition party workers felt that money was being distributed. He said that I have been in the party for 40 years. Everyone knows the truth, but still the Election Commission and the police should investigate this matter. There are CCTV footage in the hotel. If there is an investigation, everything will become clear.
BVA Chief Hitendra Thakur reached the hotel
Amidst the uproar, Bahujan Vikas Aghadi Chief Hitendra Thakur reached the hotel. His son Kshitij Thakur was also with him. Hitendra alleges that Vinod Tawde had come here with Rs 5 crore. Two diaries have been recovered from him. Let us tell you that both Hitendra and his son are current MLAs from Vasai and Nalasopara. Kshitij is once again in the electoral fray from Nalasopara seat.
