Bhopal: Administrative preparations are underway for the by-election on two seats in Madhya Pradesh. Voting for the by-election is to be held on November 13 on Budhni of Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh and Vijaypur Seat of Sheopur district. Amidst the by-election, the Madhya Pradesh Election Commission has released the updated voter list of voters. According to the data released, the names of 6.50 lakh voters have been removed from the list in the state. At the same time, names of 7.47 lakh voters have been added.
After the Lok Sabha elections in the state, names of six lakh 50 thousand 740 voters have been removed. This includes voters who have shifted to other states or cities and those who have died. At the same time, names of 7.47 lakh voters have been added, voters have updated new addresses.
The process of adding new voters and removing names as per need has been expedited. Now claims and objections have been invited, the number of voters in 228 assembly constituencies is 5,60,63,645. Due to by-elections, there will be no revision in Budhni and Vijaypur. The process of taking claims and objections has started. This entire process will continue till 28 November.
