Rewa. A newly married woman was gang-raped in front of her husband in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. The accused first tied the husband to a tree and beat him and then raped the woman.

After making a video of the incident, they were threatened that if they contacted the police, the video would be made viral. This horrific incident took place in Bhairav ​​Baba area on Monday, while the victim couple lodged a complaint with the police on Tuesday.

Threatened to make the video viral
The couple said that both of them studied together in college and were recently married. On October 21, they had reached Bhairav ​​Baba area to celebrate a picnic. Here five drunk persons surrounded them. The accused committed this heinous crime and threatened the victims saying that if they went to the police, they would make the video viral.

Congress made allegations
Congress has alleged in this incident that despite the incident happening on Monday, the police did not take immediate action. The victim couple kept visiting the police station, but their plea was not heard. Congress says that the police’s attention was on the Regional Industrial Conclave to be held in Rewa on Wednesday, so an attempt was made to suppress the matter. It is alleged that the matter came to light only three days after the incident, which is raising questions on the negligence and insensitivity of the police.

SP gave information
Rewa SP Vivek Singh, while clarifying the incident, said that the incident took place on the afternoon of October 21 and the victim reached the police station on the afternoon of October 22. The police immediately registered the case without any delay. Looking at the seriousness of the case, the police rounded up 50-60 suspects. Two of whom seem to be the main suspects. The SP assured that the accused will be arrested soon.
