    Violence continues in Bahraich, late night rioters and tried to set religious place on fire

    Bahraich. The violence that started during the procession of Durga idol immersion in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh (UP) is not stopping. On Monday, the miscreants set many houses including shops, hospitals and showrooms on fire, after which the administration has deployed a large number of police force in the area. Despite that, the miscreants broke the religious place in Nakwa village late at night and also tried to set it on fire. However, when the police team reached the spot, they brought the situation under control.

    Amidst violence and tense situation, Aaj Tak’s team reached Bahraich late at night. During this time, police force was seen deployed at various places. Even after this, the miscreants set fire in a village at around 10 pm on Monday night. The head of Nakwa village said that 10 to 15 people came and set fire. After the arson, a heavy force of police and PAC reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The miscreants ran away as soon as they saw the police.


    Mahsi BDO Hemant Yadav said that some miscreants set fire in the village. Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. He said that more than 50 police personnel are present on the spot. Apart from this, an attempt was also made to destroy a religious place. The miscreants have tried to destroy a tomb. The villagers said that after breaking the tomb, an attempt was made to set it on fire. However, the police have brought the situation under control.

    Uproar after the death of a youth in stone pelting and firing
    Actually, two communities clashed with each other during the immersion of Durga idol at around six o’clock on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, a youth named Ram Gopal Mishra (22) died in stone pelting and firing and dozens of people were injured. As soon as this news spread, a riot started in the entire area. Thousands of people took to the streets with sticks and started vandalism and sloganeering. The police took charge but the situation went out of control. The riot continued till the afternoon of October 14. During this time, the miscreants burnt down a hospital. The X-ray machine installed inside was broken. Beds and glasses were destroyed. A medical store located nearby was also set on fire. The entire medical store was destroyed by vandalism. Not only this, the miscreants also burnt a bike showroom. After which brand new motorcycles were seen burning.

    On the other hand, the family members of the deceased Ram Gopal Mishra performed the last rites after talking to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The family members of the deceased took this step only after getting assurance of justice from the CM. Before that, people kept creating a ruckus by placing the dead body on the road. They had demanded from the administration that the culprits be encountered and bulldozers be run on their houses.

    On receiving the information of vandalism and arson, CM Yogi sent ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash to Bahraich. After reaching Bahraich, Amitabh Yash immediately reached the affected area. During this, the angry mob at Rampurwa outpost of Mahsi started vandalism in front of the ADG, on which he took out his pistol and chased the protesting people by waving it.
