Jabalpur. Jyotishpeethadhiswar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda gave a big statement in Jabalpur on Friday, saying that whatever the majority says, the minority will have to accept it, and he also said that cow cannot be killed in this country. At the same time, regarding the matter of animal fat and oil in Tirupati Balaji Prasadam, he also talked about getting the prasad of temples across the country investigated.
Speaking to the media, Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati said, ‘We have our own beliefs, our own faith, our own tradition, we will discharge it. If someone can adjust with us, we will adjust him too. But no one can work against our sentiments while living in our country.
He further said, whatever the majority says, the minority of this country will have to accept it. It has become an amazing thing, that when the government has to be formed, the majority will be seen and when laws have to be implemented, the minority will be seen, what the minorities want. Whatever the minorities want, whatever the majority wants will happen in this country and the majority in this country are Hindus. The majority in this country is against cow slaughter, so cow will be worshipped in this country, cow cannot be killed in this country.’
He also expressed extreme displeasure over the news of animal fat and fish oil being present in the laddus offered as prasad at Tirupati Balaji temple. Targeting the government in this matter, he called it the result of the government’s negligence. He said that adding unholy ingredients to the Tirupati Prasad is a crime against the entire Hindu community, in this matter he demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits and filing a case in the court. He also demanded that a big committee be formed and the culprits be investigated and given severe punishment.
Shankaracharya also congratulated Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for revealing this matter and said that if there was no truth in the allegations, Naidu would have been surrounded by now. He said that all temples of Sanatan Dharma should be free from government control, because if secular governments remain in religious places, then this will be the result. The incident of Tirupati makes Hindus aware that government interference in religious places should end.
