Administration strict regarding mosques in Mandi, corporation cuts off electricity and water supply

Mandi. The administration has issued a strict order regarding illegal construction in the mosque located in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The Municipal Corporation has cut off the electricity and water connections of the mosque. The land record of the land is in the name of the mosque, only some encroachment is on PWD land, which was demolished after demarcation.

Let us tell you that the Municipal Corporation has given 30 days to the mosque committee to demolish the illegal construction. Along with this, giving strict orders, it was said that either the mosque committee itself removes the illegal structure or the administration will demolish it. In such a situation, the mosque committee will either have to remove the illegal structure or else will have to appeal against the order of the Municipal Corporation within 30 days.

Various Hindu organizations had also taken out a rally last week regarding illegal mosque construction in Mandi. This protest rally went from Mandi city to Sakodi Chowk. In view of this rally of Hindu organizations, the police also sprayed water to disperse the protesters.

What did CM Sukhu say on the mosque dispute

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the matter of illegal construction has come to light in Mandi. A committee will be formed regarding the mosque dispute. This is a peace loving state, where all religions are respected. No religion and caste will be hurt. Our government will take action as per the law. Illegal construction is not acceptable. But action will be taken within the ambit of law regarding illegal construction.

CM Sukhu said that we want the Assembly to form a committee on street vendors and settle local disputes. A committee will be formed regarding street vendors. People coming from outside do illegal construction, which also causes problems to the people. Protests keep happening in Himachal Pradesh. There is nothing new in these. We will take action as per the law in the Shimla mosque case as well.
