Actually, his palace is very luxurious and he has a collection of thousands of cars. So let’s know with what luxury the Sultan lives here…

Who is the Sultan of Brunei?

The name of this Sultan of Brunei is Hassanal Bolkiah, who is counted among the richest people in the world. Let us tell you that Brunei got independence from Britain in the year 1984. Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III became the King of Brunei on 5 October 1967. Now Hassanal Bolkiah has been the monarch for nearly 59 years.

    How luxurious is life?

Hassanal Bolkiah is famous all over the world for his luxurious life. The most special thing in his luxury is his palace which is spread over several acres and many things in it are made of gold. Apart from this, he has a private plane, which is also covered with gold. Along with this, it is said that the Sultan of Brunei has the largest collection of cars in the world. There are different reports about the property of the Sultan, but it is said that he has assets worth 30 billion dollars.

The story of the palace is surprising

According to a report published in Arab News, in the 1980s, Sultan Hasan Ali built the world’s largest palace, in which the current Sultan lives today. This palace has 1,770 rooms and halls and the world’s largest luxury car garage is also in this palace. This palace is so luxurious that it is said that the Sultan here lives in the most luxury in the world. This palace is spread over 2 million square feet. The dome of this palace is decorated with 22 carat gold. The price of this palace is estimated to be more than 2550 crore rupees.

He loves gold so much that there are gold basins in the house and gold has been applied on the car and plane too. The Sultan’s private plane is also not an ordinary plane, it is also called a flying palace. If you see it from inside, it appears completely yellow, because gold is used a lot in it. You can guess his wealth from the fact that he once gifted an Airbus A340 to his daughter.

According to the report of South China Morning Post, his palace has more than 1700 rooms with 257 washrooms and 110 garages for vehicles. Even some walls of the palace are covered with gold. When the Sultan gets his hair cut, it costs 20 thousand dollars i.e. 16 lakhs, because the hair cutting experts come from London.

    Brunei is Muslim-majority

Here 80 percent of the people are Muslims. This proportion of Muslims is much lower than in Indonesia, a much larger country than Brunei. Brunei has not allowed an opposition since independence and has no influential civil society. It still operates under a state of emergency declared in 1962.
