We’ll brake Modi’s confidence in the Lok Sabha elections: Rahul Gandhi

Srinagar. Rahul Gandhi reached Srinagar on Thursday. Here he addressed the Congress workers and assured the people that their troubles will be resolved and the the party stands with them. Through this visit, the Congress also indicated that they will take the situation of Jammu and Kashmir seriously in the upcoming elections and will protect the hard work and honor of the party workers.

Rahul Gandhi said, ‘When elections were announced in different states of the country, I met Kharge ji. Then we decided that we should first go to Jammu and Kashmir, because we want to give a message to the people of the country that representation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir is most important for us. This is the first time in the history of India after independence that a state has been made a union territory.’

In Srinagar, Rahul Gandhi said that I want to completely eradicate the fear in which you live. Rahul Gandhi said that I know what you people have to endure. Rahul Gandhi said that there will be an alliance, but it will be with the respect of Congress workers, because you have spent your entire life in expanding the Congress party and protecting India.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi arrived on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday before the assembly elections in the state. On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi addressed the workers in Srinagar.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi while addressing party workers said, “As soon as we came to know that elections are going to be held, Mallikarjun Kharge and I met and we decided that we should first come to Jammu and Kashmir. We want to give this message to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the people of every state of India that for us the representation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the status of the state is the most important thing.

He further said that in the history of India, after independence, many times a union territory has been converted into a state but there is only one example when the status of a state has been taken away and made a union territory. We want to give the message that representation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir is important for us and the people of the country, that is why we have come here first.

Rahul Gandhi said that I protect democracy in the whole country but for me the goal is to erase the pain in the hearts of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. What you have to bear, the fear in which you live, the sorrow you have, I, Mallikarjun Kharge, the entire Congress party want to erase it forever. We will defeat hatred with love.

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing the party workers, said, ‘Rahul Gandhi clearly said that he has a relationship with Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, we expect that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will definitely support us in the coming elections but you will have to put in all your strength. BJP always decides from where to start the elections, how to get people elected and all their anger is on Congress, not on other parties because other parties do not fight. There is only one brave person who fights and that is Rahul Gandhi. So do not support those who are afraid. We, our party are with you and will remain with you. We do not need you only for votes but we need your vote to save this country.
