Bhopal. Dr. Mohan Yadav Government of Madhya Pradesh (MP) has taken a big decision to stop illegal mineral transportation. 41 e-checkgates will be established to control illegal mineral transportation in the state. All 7 thousand mines of the state have been geo-tagged.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that 41 AI based e-checkgates are being established to stop illegal transportation in the state. Vehicles engaged in mineral transportation will be checked with the help of verifocal camera, RFID leader, automatic number plate reader at these e-checkgates.
As a pilot project in the project, work has been started by installing e-checkgates at 4 places on the important route for mineral transportation. Command and Control Center in Bhopal at the state level and District Command Centers in District Bhopal and Raisen have been established to monitor illegal transportation. The target is to establish all 41 e-checkgates by December 2024.
CM Dr. Yadav has also started a satellite and drone based project to prevent illegal mining in the state. Through this, the mine area has been demarcated by geo-tagging all the 7 thousand mines of the state. When this project is fully implemented, illegal mining can be identified and effectively prevented. On implementation of the project, the quantity of excavated mineral can be accurately assessed by doing 3-D imaging and volumetric analysis inside the approved mine.
