Sambhal: New revelations are happening every day in Sambhal, UP. Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Revenue Department excavated a piece of land in Chandausi and found a huge Bawdi underneath it. Actually, the Laxman Ganj area of Chandausi was Hindu-dominated before 1857. People of Saini community used to live here. But now the Muslim population is more in number here.
After finding a 46-year-old temple in Sambhal, a complaint letter was given to the DM, in which it was said that earlier there was a Bilari ki Rani ki Bawdi in Laxman Ganj. After this, the DM ordered an investigation. On Saturday, Naib Tehsildar Dhirendra Singh from the Revenue Department reached there with the map of the area. When an area was excavated in the middle of the Bawdi colony, an ancient building started emerging from the ground.
What did the Revenue Officer say?
The Naib Tehsildar said that a two-storey building is visible during the excavation. The well and pond of the stepwell are also recorded in the records. A tunnel can also be found here. The officer said that this stepwell looks very huge, which was buried under a pile of soil. Now it is being investigated by removing the soil. Further investigation will also be done on the basis of the map.
On the other hand, the team of Archaeological Survey of India reached Kalki temple in Sambhal on Saturday. The ASI team surveyed five different locations in Sambhal, which included 19 wells and 5 pilgrimage sites. The ASI team surveyed the ancient Krishna well located in the Kalki temple of Sambhal.
Apart from this, a survey was also conducted inside the temple with the priest of the temple. The team also captured the photo of the dome built inside the temple. This survey was conducted secretly by the local administration due to security reasons. Earlier on Friday, the ASI team was caught on camera surveying a stone taken out from an ancient building in the temple located in Ladam Sarai of Sambhal.
