14,500 children died in Gaza, more than two million people are still trapped

UNRWA said that in recent days, bad weather has worsened the situation.

Rosalia Bolin, Chief Communication Officer of UNICEF in Gaza, said that the war has had a deep impact on children. There has been a serious violation of the rights of an entire generation of children and their future has been destroyed. Bolin described Gaza as one of the most heartbreaking places for humanitarian workers. More than 14,500 children are reported to have been killed and thousands injured in the 14-month-long war.

UNICEF also warned that the situation will worsen as winter begins. Children in Gaza are living in cold conditions, many still wearing summer clothes and bare feet. Bolin said that children are searching for plastic in the rubble to burn for heat, so that they can stay warm. Earlier, Human Rights Watch had alleged that Israel was not providing clean water to Palestinians in Gaza. However, Israel rejected these allegations.
