10 vehicles collided due to dense fog on Delhi Mumbai Expressway, one dead, many injured, advisory issued

Alwar. Due to dense fog on Delhi Mumbai Expressway, about 10 vehicles collided with each other on Saturday in the border of Umri village going from Gurugram to Alwar. After this there was chaos on the expressway. The drivers got down from their vehicles and started running. In view of the dense fog, sign boards have been installed at various places on the expressway by the administration. Reflectors are being installed in vehicles.

According to the information, a bus suddenly crashed near Umri village in Nuh area. After this, many vehicles collided with each other one after the other due to low visibility. A large number of people were injured in the accident. During this, the injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment. In this, Subhash (26), a resident of Kotputli, died. The police was informed about the matter. The police have kept the body in the mortuary. The police also said that the condition of five other injured remains critical.

At the same time, an advisory has been issued for the drivers by the expressway administration. Delhi-Mumbai Expressway officials said that a bus suddenly crashed near Umri village in Nuh area. After this, more than 10 vehicles collided with each other one after the other. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the expressway administration stopped the vehicles by putting up barricades at a short distance from the spot and advised to drive at a slow speed.

Many people were injured in the vehicles that collided one after the other. But everyone has suffered minor injuries. Because the speed of the vehicles was very low due to dense fog. Due to the collision of vehicles one after the other, the drivers were seen leaving their vehicles and running away. After the accident, the NHAI rescue team, which reached the spot, removed all the vehicles from the expressway with the help of a crane and after that the traffic could become normal. This whole process took the whole day.

NHAI officials said that there is dense fog in Delhi, Gurugram and Alwar area. There is a risk of accidents in fog. In such a situation, display boards have been installed at various places. On these, drivers are constantly being informed about taking precautions during fog, driving slowly in fog and further weather updates during the journey. Also, the employees present at the toll plaza are constantly installing reflectors on vehicles. Work is also going on to install reflector boards on all flyovers, electric poles and other places. So that drivers take precautions.

Three accidents have taken place at different places on the Delhi Mumbai Expressway in two days and in all the accidents more than two vehicles have collided with each other. All the accidents have taken place during dense fog, so in view of the increasing fog and accidents, an advisory has been issued for the drivers by the police administration and the expressway administration.

NHAI Project Director PK Kaushik said on the advisory for drivers that do not park the vehicle in the middle during the journey. Do not overtake the vehicle. Do not drive at high speed. Do not use mobile while driving. Do not drive for more time than capacity. Use seat belt while driving. Put radium sticker on the vehicle. Maintain distance of your vehicle from the vehicles ahead in fog. Do not keep the headlight of the vehicle on high beam. Get fog lights installed in the vehicle. As far as possible, do not go out on the roads during fog.
